    My homie John

    By admin | October 21, 2008

I met John years ago I think in Los Angeles, or maybe at Bread and Butter trade show in my city, Barcelona (Some people still emails me asking me if Im american…) then met him again in L.A (thats for sure), and well, pretty much I assume he launched a new website.
I consider John a true streetwear passionate guy, without the whole New Era-jeans-new shoes aesthetics, and a whole lot of passion, dedication and humble spirit altogether. I hope this doesnt sound weird in english, but check his new website http://typo-graphical.com where he focuses on covering news on interesting websites related to art, music, and friends, design and shoes and projects.
He also runs SELECTOR, a nice Tshirt line based on ska, reagge, the whole jamaican vibe and such. To introcue him to the world:

Hello. My name is John Hall and Typo-graphical is my blog.
I’ve worked in “streetwear” (not my favorite word) and the cutting-edge end of the magazine industry for about a decade now, working for some of the best names in the business, including: Mass Appeal, T-World (Australia), Vapors, Missbehave, Woofin’ (Japan), Staple Design, Digital Gravel, and Foreign Family.

I live and work in Venice, California, getting by on a combination of interviewing awesomely cool people, writing product descriptions for Digital Gravel, and designing and sometimes producing t-shirts.

On this blog, rather than presenting the latest cool products and news - something which is already very well taken care of by many great blogs and websites - I want to focus on what I think are some noteworthy websites overall. So with a bit of luck, Typo-graphical will present a nice mix of art, design, clothing, and music related posts, along with features on some great websites I want to share with you.

    Lemme know what you think!

    Thanks,
    John”

And new toys. The new D90 from Nikon. Now to the arsenal: The Hasselblad 500cm, the Hasselblad Xpan, Nikon D2H, Polaroid 600 x2, Fuji Instax mini, Instax 200, Nikon F5, Yashica T4, Olympus Mj2, and now…this amazing toy from Nikon digital realm.
All I can say is that I tried it just for 5 minutes, and I have been amazed by the quality and the ease of use of the camera. And it records video! And at HD quality. Amazing. Will keep shooting.
And now more than ever. Photography, after years of “sleeping mode”, is back on full effect.
