    Diggin’

    By admin | September 11, 2008

Im pretty sure most of the people who has moved from your parents house to any apartment, any house or anything still has a vast amount of stuff there, where you spent loooots of years.

Well, I visited my parents house to dig around and see what I had lying around, these are some of the pics of what I found, I really have so many things there…

Yeah, most of you know about this never released dunk from Nike SB. Something called “Loon dunk”. Google it.

A classic fanzine I was doing around 2000. CLAN Mag. From 30 copies to the final issue with 1000 free copies all over Spain. This is way back in time, when no fancy Hasselblads existed, and way back when being a skate photographer was cool. From left to right: Marco Romero cover in the San Francisco and Los Angeles special issue, “Coth” switch frontside crooked grind in Sants, and Enrique Lorenzo switch backside pivot in Sants. In that issue there was an interview with Enrique where he was explaining a lot of trouble at that time in the skateboard world. That issue was a bomb in the skate scene, and created lots of tension. Loved it.

Back to 2000 again. I was living in Laguna Hills working for MONKEY BUSINESS hardware, a skate company focused on griptape and accesories. My friend Marco Romero, by that time an upcoming amateur from the Echo park area, was sponsored by that company, and the company wanted to make pro griptape. They were the first ones! After leaving the company because of problems with the owner (who was a liar and made me drive to a bank with a borrowed car just to find out his check had no funds) I lived at Marco’s house for a month. There, he asked me Monkey wanted to do a griptape with his name on it. I got a piece a papaer, and drew this monkey hanging from a tree. We faxed the thing to the guy and weeks later Marco sent me the griptape.

And in the back of the griptape package, was the photo I shot of Enrique in Los Angeles, and the graphic of it was what I was working on before leaving the place… Kickflip to fackie.

1980 return of the Jedi trading card album. I never finished the collection, because back in the day I was always asking for money…

Motorized Rob Dyrdek when he was a pro skater, “Just” a regular skater, no TV Star.

Yes. Classic stuff. Been there done that.

Super Powers. Amazing serie of toys from DC and each of these had a special move. if you squeeze the legs of Superman the arms go punch. I had a few of these but I lost them all, so years ago bought Superman via ebay. Same thing with…

    …Masters of the Universe.

I opened a box and these 3 Medicom x Star Wars figures appear. I had no idea I had them until today. If you take a good look at the left Bobba Fett, it was a present from the one and only Yonehara from Japan, while I was in Tokio.

Got this from Cheli, he brought me this “Modifiers” Acura Integra GSR from USA, and never opened it. I have always been a huge fan of Honda/Acura, and always wanted to have an Integra, oh well…

… and thats just part 1 of the “Diggin” post. It will be much more as that room is like a black hole. There are tons of things…
